Today was Trinity’s Covenant service. Will’s message was based on the reading from Deuteronomy 29:10-15 and emphasised the community aspect of the covenant. The words of the service make it an individualistic event, but Will stressed that although we make our own promises to God, we are doing it together in a spirit of togetherness.
Euan joined us from his Junior Church class for Communion and Louise and I were both very impressed with how well he behaved himself in the latter part of the service. It’s always a joy to share communion together. Euan had at least 3 biscuits after the service to make up for the fact that he missed out on the bread in communion:)
In other news, I was able to breathe a huge sigh of relief as I was able to swap my Feb 8th preaching appointment so that I can participate in a band contest, and I was also able to change the date of my guest appearance at Central Methodist Church, Dudley so that I can complete the CD recording that band are doing.
There are four of us in the Wiley family in Watford. There's me Greg, my wife Louise, our son Euan and our daughter Eva. There's also our cat Fundi. You'll find a bit more information on our about us page.
